House H was designed with the mindset of creating spaces within the new extension where the owners could relax and feel calm, as well as spaces where the family could spend time together with each other and friends. This family enjoys hosting and entertaining, but also appreciates the balance of quiet times, where they can rest while reading a book, gardening or sitting outside enjoying the sunshine with a drink (when the weather allows it).
The couple motioned that it was crucial to include hammocks within the space where they could read and relax in a corner that provides them an escape, evoking memories of their holidays in the Caribbean. This space also allows them to meditate, as they feel that their best ideas to resolve problems comes to them while they are in a relaxed state.
